JYPN Ladder Award - Amanda Burrow
1. Tell me about your
company and what you do there.
I am the Inside Sales
Representative at Continental Utility Solutions. CUSI has
been an aggressive software development company for the past
20 years. I
present the solutions
developed with the most
current technology in the industry to a customer base of
over 900 companies. My job requires me to constantly learn
new things and manage B2B relationships across the nation.
2. Where are you from and what
made you decide to live in Jonesboro?
I am originally from Jonesboro; graduated from Nettleton High School
and then ASU with a Marketing degree in 2004. I relocated to
Memphis
for about 5 years for career opportunities but Jonesboro has always been home and I am
fortunate that I had the opportunity to move back in early
2009.
3. How long have you been a
member of JYPN?
Since
July 2009
4. Why did you decide to join
JYPN?
After moving back to Jonesboro in early 2009, I
realized that I was out of the loop. I had been involved in
various organizations in
Memphis
and I know how important it is to have a network of
professional peers within my community. JYPN was an obvious
choice because it is so well respected and the focus is
geared towards young adults and how they can better
themselves and the community around them.
5. Do you serve on any Chamber or JYPN Committees or other
organizations in the community?
Co-Chair of the
Professional Development Committee
6. Who is someone who has
influenced you professionally?
Candace Martin.
She’s my inspiration.
7. What do you think is the
greatest benefit to being involved in JYPN?
JYPN is an awesome resource for any young professional. The
greatest benefit of being involved with JYPN has been the
great contacts and wonderful friends I have made. It has
given me the opportunity to meet people that I might have
missed out on and more productive networking than money
could buy. I am so proud to be part of such a great
organization.
